Ligado Networks Statement on March FCC Meeting

RESTON, VA. March 17, 2021 – Ligado Networks issued the following statement from Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer Valerie Green on the Federal Communications Commission’s votes today to enable access to more mid-band spectrum and explore O-RAN technology:

“We applaud the FCC’s efforts today to accelerate 5G deployments for American consumers and businesses. By voting to make available more mid-band spectrum, the FCC is increasing access to a key resource that will help create robust next-generation networks across the country and support efforts to modernize our country’s infrastructure.

We also support the agency’s work to more extensively explore O-RAN technology – a flexible approach to building mobile networks that we believe is crucial to advancing American leadership in 5G. We look forward to working closely with the Commission to develop policies that advance its adoption.”
